Major Giving to KUAF

For more than 55,000 listeners per week, KUAF programming is a savored slice of daily life. And, every year many thousands of these listeners happily support this important community service with their annual pledges. Those supporters who give $1000 or more annually become members of KUAF's NPR Society.

KUAF continues to seek and depend on regular membership contributions from friends, especially new generations of listeners. But in the long run, special or "major" gifts from long-time friends will keep KUAF strong, stable and relevant in the future.

How are "major" gifts different from annual membership gifts?

Annual gifts ensure today's excellence, providing funding for KUAF's day-to-day operations and programming, while major gifts to KUAF are for the longer term and are transformational. They create opportunities--such as endowing programs, acquiring new technology, station expansion, and the like. They have a permanent impact on the future.

There are many ways, beyond annual giving, that friends can express their deep commitment to public radio and this station. For example, one could

Make a special gift, in addition to annual membership, payable all at once, or over time

Establish or contribute to a permanent fund for national or local programming, technology advancement, or community outreach
