Community Spotlight: 20 Years of Playing in the Dirt

With the many trails crisscrossing over Northwest Arkansas, the area is becoming a hub for mountain biking. For 20 years, Ozark Off Road Cyclists (OORC) has actively preserved nature sites and built trails to enhance outdoor recreation across the Arkansas Ozarks.

"We have this canvas to start creating this destination for outdoor recreation... there's really year round recreation here in the Ozarks," says Executive Director, Brandon Pack.

Pack stopped by the Nancy Blair Operations Studio to talk about the OORC's "Playing in the Dirt" event taking place Nov. 10 - 12. The weekend-long celebration honors the group's two decades of work and features a special gala at Pratt Place in Fayetteville on Friday night.

For more information go to the Ozark Off Road Cyclists website.
