Of Note for Thursday, March 26: Death of Narrative

UA Music professor Er-Gene Kahng and composer Ryan Cockerham explore the universe of non-narrative film and music with the music of Alvin Lucier and short films of Stan Brakhage in their first event for the Fuse New Music series.

The event, titled  "The Death of Narrative (and Happy Birthdays)" explores perception as encapsulated by this quote from Brakhage, who says "Imagine an eye unruled by man-made laws of perspective, an eye unprejudiced by compositional logic, an eye which does not respond to the name of everything but which must know each object encountered in life through an adventure of perception." The free event begins at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall of Crystal Bridges Friday, March 27. Visit this link to reserve your seat.
