TN Politics: Post-Midterm Democratic Strategies

If the 2018 Midterms taught Democrats anything about campaigning in Tennessee, it's that it doesn't pay to play nice. Former governor Phil Bredesen believed he could float above the partisan squabbling. On Election Day, he was shot down to earth by a wave of Republican voters supporting Tennessee's first woman U.S. Senator.

Political analyst Otis Sanford joins us again to look at the outcome and whether Democrats will be changing their strategy in the next two years. Sanford says that liberals will likely continue to focus on reaching into the suburbs where, he says, Democrats have the best chance of winning votes.

Political analyst Otis Sanford joins WKNO to talk about the week in Tennessee Politics for Nov. 5-9, 2018.
