The Momentary, an extension of Crystal Bridges of American Art, recently completed an update to its spaces. This weekend, curators unveiled its latest exhibition, “Enduring Amazon: Life and Afterlife in the Amazon Rainforest,” as part of the remodel. Ozarks at Large's Kyle Kellams visited the museum and talked with director Jill Wagar, who says the new exhibit meets the contemporary criteria.

Brooklyn-based muralist Katie Merz has a new piece up on the exterior of The Momentary in Bentonville. Her work collects hundreds of intricate drawings…modern hieroglyphics, kind of…serving as examples of elements of life where her murals are created. She also created custom benches for the museum's campus. The work is supported by Oz Art NWA.

Format Festival is entering its second year, and has been coined ‘the art world’s Woodstock.’ It will be held in Bentonville, Arkansas this upcoming weekend. From September 22 to September 24 attendees can view art and live music from a variety of creatives.
