The George Floyd protests have already led to some police department reforms across the country, including here in Memphis. But anger over police brutality has leveraged reforms in other areas that have long resisted. Confederate monuments are finally being relocated, flags are being reconsidered, racist mascots are being retired.
Protesters are also calling out specific businesses. Political analyst Otis Sanford says the George Floyd video has revealed the need for a broad reevaluation of race in America.
