COVID-19 has thrown education into upheaval across the country. Many schools are opting for virtual learning, instead of the traditional in-class schooling – or operating on a hybrid model. Both Arlington Community Schools and Collierville Schools are employing a hybrid means of teaching, allowing students to rotate days in which they are in class and days when they study virtually.
Arlington Community Schools Superintendent Jeff Mayo and Superintendent of Collierville Schools, Dr. Gary Lilly, join this week’s WKNO-TV Behind the Headlines with host Eric Barnes and The Daily Memphian’s Bill Dries. Guests talk about the unforeseen challenges being faced as they try to manage the health and safety of both students and faculty during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, guests talk about sports, clubs and school organizations that have been affected by COVID-19.
