Event Description

Each month, Trike will host a professional development opportunity for educators designed to support the use of arts integration strategies in the classroom. All sessions are open to all educators but each event will present a specific focus topic with activities designed for either primary levels (PK-2nd grade), upper levels (3rd – 12th grade), or general education (PK-12th grade). The cost for each event is $20 and includes lunch with time for socialization and collaboration with your teaching artists and colleagues. Sessions will meet 12:00 – 2:00 pm in-person at Trike Theatre (Bentonville) unless circumstances require us to offer the event virtually. ------------------- SCHEDULE: ⭐️OCTOBER 9-Get Writing: Original Playwriting in the Classroom (Grades 3rd-12th) ⭐️NOVEMBER 13-Literacy through Art: Retelling with Creative Drama (Grades PreK-2nd) ⭐️DECEMBER 11-Adaptation: Turn Reading into Drama (Grades 3rd-12th) *Includes ticket to Trike Theatre's performance of, Best Christmas Pageant Ever ⭐️JANUARY 8-Building Resiliency & Emotional Regulation: Theatre Games & More for S.E.L with Burrell Behavioral Health (Grades: All) ⭐️FEBRUARY 12-Lyrics & Poetry: Songwriting as Literacy (Grades 3rd-12th) ⭐️MARCH 12-Making Stories Musical: Movement & Music for Literacy (Grades PreK-2nd) *Includes ticket to Trike Theatre's performance of, Alexander Who Is Not, Not, Not, Not, Not, Not Going to Move ⭐️APRIL 9-Activate Learning through Puppetry (Grades: All) *Includes ticket to Trike Theatre's performance of, Mariposa/Butterfly
