Forest Therapy Walk Class

“Forest Bathing” or Forest Therapy is a wonderful way to celebrate springtime in the Botanical Gardens and to honor National Love a Tree Day. Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, Forest Therapy is a research-based holistic practice which uses immersion in natural environments to enhance health and wellness. Health benefits include reduced stress, improved mood and sleep and increased immune functioning.

Join Forest Therapy Guide Emmie Brenzel for a slow walk in the gardens using interactive invitations to awaken your senses and allow for a mindful connection with nature and the more-than-human-world. There will be opportunities to observe, listen, and engage silently with nature and share together as a group if you choose. The nature walk concludes with a closing tea ceremony. Please dress for the weather with layers recommended. Activities will be leisurely and do not generate heat. Walks are limited to ten participants.

Cost: $20 for members / $30 for nonmembers
