Gomez: Swimming In 'A New Tide'

In the years following Bring It On, the band's Mercury Prize-winning debut, Gomez has never strayed far from the public eye, lending tracks to television programs such as Grey's Anatomy and House. Their music constantly evolves, combining hefty rock beats with pop choruses and hints of country, folk and blues.

A New Tide, Gomez's latest album, is a transcontinental project. Band members in Brooklyn and Brighton, England recorded their own tracks and merged the new material online. The album returns to the band's roots as freewheeling and psychedelic. The songs combine solid rock, imaginative rhythmic exchanges and bluesy melodies in an eclectic mix.

In a session with host David Dye, the band's members discuss how their experimentation with musical arrangements fed into the creation of their new album.
