Jane Chu, the chairperson of the National Endowment for the Arts, came to northwest Arkansas recently and talked to us about participation in the arts. Jane Chu was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma and grew up in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and before she was appointed to her current position was the director of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City.
