Madison Woods moved to Arkansas from southern Louisiana just so she could plant and harvest American ginsengs. The slow growing plant is heralded for the energy it provides. Woods has partnered with Compton Gardens to plant a ginseng sanctuary to educate the community on the endangered shrub, which should sprout late April 2016.
