Arkansas and Others Negotiate Mail-In Voting Due to Coronavirus

State primaries, runoffs and presidential preference primaries were disrupted this spring by the coronavirus pandemic. With the presidential general election less than six months away, more states are taking precautions to protect voters and poll workers, including new allowances for voting by mail. Ben Hovland, chairman of the  U.S. Election Assistance Commission, provides analysis.
