Today Pete is joined via phone by Terri Anderson, Park Interpreter for Devil's Den State Park, to talk about the upcoming Arkansas Free Fishing Weekend. Arkansas Free Fishing Weekend begins Friday, June 12th at noon and ends Sunday, June 14th at midnight.
Arkansas Free Fishing Weekend kicks off with a Fishing Derby event taking place this Saturday, June 13th, at Devil's Den State Park from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Registration is required, and check-in will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the café pavilion located by the dam.
Socal distancing will be enforced to ensure the safety of all participants. A mask will be required for check-in. Visitors will need to bring their own fishing equipment, including tackle and bait. Visitors do not need a fishing license to participate.
