Community Spotlight: Soldier's Songs and Voices

Life after war can be one of the most challenging obstacles for a veteran. That's why Soldier's Songs and Voices offers Northwest Arkansas veterans an outlet to express themselves and share their experience with other returned soldiers.

Lee Haight and Jim Hale spoke with Pete Hartman about the veteran-run project and how they are working to heal the wounds of war on the home front.

"I just know the power of music in my life and what its done for me, and I knew at that time that if we offered that to veterans who may have issues returning from duty... that music would enhance their lives," says Haight.

Soldier's Songs and Voices is part of a national organization and offers free guitar and songwriting lessons to veterans and active duty military.
