Enrollment Continues Growth at ATU-Ozark, Declines at UAFS

Arkansas Tech University's Ozark campus yesterday reported its tenth consecutive fall semester of enrollment growth, while enrollment at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith declined, due in part to an improving economy and a change in demographics for traditional high school students. Several area residents get ready to scour the Mulberry River as part of the Great Arkansas Cleanup this weekend, and a quarantine is placed on firewood in a number of Arkansas counties to prevent the spread of a particular pest that's harmful to ash trees. And, the date and time is set for the the only confirmed debate between the two major-party candidates in this year's Senate race.
