The Chairman of the Jonesboro A&P Commission was found dead in his home.  Thom Beasley was on the commission for the past 10 years, and was instrumental in bringing a convention center to Jonesboro.

The City of Jonesboro released a statement from Mayor Harold Perrin regarding the death of Jonesboro businessman and Advertising and Promotions chairman Thom Beasley:

“I was saddened to hear the news about Thom. Thom was a good friend and a true public servant of the City of Jonesboro who tried to help everyone he could. My prayers and thoughts are with his family, as well as his associates at Farm Bureau.”

Beasley was a member of the A&P Commission for 10 years. He started in June 2006 and was appointed chairman in November 2012.  Funeral arrangements have not been made at this time.
