Of Note for Tue. Sept. 6, 2016: The "Paganini of the Double Bass"

In today's program we go deep with Giovanni Bottesini, the Italian composer who lived from 1821 to 1889. He toured the world performing original compositions on the double bass, earning him the title "the Paganini of the double bass." We'll also turn to one of the most popular works in all of classical music, Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" and to Brahms' first violin sonata. Tune in for two hours of compelling classical coming up from 8 to 10 p.m. here on KUAF.
