Scholars at Risk is an international organization that protects scholars who are threatened with job loss, imprisonment or even death because of their work. The University of Arkansas chapter this week hosted Dr. Muhammad Kahn, a professor of applied linguistics who now teaches in Philadelphia after he received death threats in his native Pakistan for work in the classroom some considered critical of religion.
