We asked Katy Henriksen, host of KUAF's Of Note, to give us a preview of some of the classical music scheduled for this summer. From Mozart in the Museum to a classical-themed block party, the music will be almost everywhere.
KUAF will once again host a live concert celebrating local music programming June 28th at the Fayetteville Public Library. This year we're celebrating The Generic Blues Show, a program on KUAF since the early 1990s, with host Paul Kelso.
There are a limited number of tickets to see Buddy Shute and the Motivators perform, as well as Jesse Dean, in the Walker Community Room of the Fayetteville Public Library. The concert is from 7 - 9 p.m. and will be broadcast LIVE on 91.3FM.
The husband and wife duo of Jeff and Rocky Rolfzen, together known as The Lark and the Loon, have released their second album in as many years. The release, titled "2" is out on Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp. We get a quick sample of the release.
Surfing Through the Looking Glass is the fourth full-length album from The Vine Brothers. The new project features influences from a variety of genres including surf rock. They'll perform Saturday at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and Sunday at the Fayetteville Public Library.
Local band Terra Nova Kings is comprised of three people who have known each other for much of their lives. Brothers Isaac and Mason Baldridge, on guitar and drums respectively, and Tyler Dearring on bass perform alternative and heavy rock throughout the region.
