KUAF will once again host a live concert celebrating local music programming June 28th at the Fayetteville Public Library. This year we're celebrating The Generic Blues Show, a program on KUAF since the early 1990s, with host Paul Kelso.

There are a limited number of tickets to see Buddy Shute and the Motivators perform, as well as Jesse Dean, in the Walker Community Room of the Fayetteville Public Library. The concert is from 7 - 9 p.m. and will be broadcast LIVE on 91.3FM.

The 2018 Black Music Symposium from the University of Arkansas Music Department is billed “Shaping American Music.” The symposium, which kicked off yesterday and runs through Friday night at the Faulkner Performing Arts Center (FPAC) looks at blues music and features American masters Lee Finkelstein and Bobby Harden.

This year's Eddie Wade Jones Black Music Symposium celebrates the genres of jazz, blues, soul and rock. Ahead of this year's four day symposium, which kicks off today and runs through Saturday, February 4, members of the Inspirational Chorale led by Jeffrey Murdock, a University of Arkansas music professor and organizer for the annual celebration of black music, perform a tune popularized by Take 6 and discuss this year's festivities.
