The annual State of the Northwest Arkansas Region Report was released this week. The report, which is gathered by the Northwest Arkansas Council and the University of Arkansas Center for Business and Economic Research, examines and gauges the region’s housing market, transportation infrastructure, new business growth, research investment and workforce participation.

The Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Arkansas released its annual State of the Northwest Arkansas Region report. In this year’s report, the center compared Northwest Arkansas to several peer regions like Austin, Texas, Des Moines, Iowa, Madison, Wisconsin, and Durham and Raleigh, North Carolina. The report outlines many strengths of the region, but more importantly, also addresses its weaknesses.

Each year, the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Arkansas hosts the Business Forecast Luncheon. Today’s event at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers features experts discussing the economic outlook for Arkansas, the nation and the world.

The sixth-annual State of the Northwest Arkansas Region Report is being released today. The report, which is created by the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Arkansas, tracks the region’s progress on a variety of metrics like educational attainment, poverty, and unemployment.
