We head to historic Springtown in southwest Benton County where Marson Nance, director of land protection and stewardship for the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust, takes us on a site tour of three historic parcels of land, including Flint Creek Headwaters Preserve, that are now protected for future generations.

The Northwest Arkansas Land Trust is launching NWA Farm-Link, a free online interactive program to connect farm seekers with farmland owners. Farm-Link, which transacts farm properties in Benton, Carroll, Madison and Washington Counties, offers transfer options including land sale, leasing, or apprenticeships.

The Land Trust Alliance, as well as regional nonprofit land trusts in Arkansas, are issuing a warning about promoters who package and sell syndicated conservation easements to investors as tax shelters.

The Northwest Arkansas Land Trust is requesting proposals by June 21 for artists to participate in the first-ever Immerse: Wilson Springs, a nature and arts festival to celebrate the Wilson Springs Preserve opening to the public in September.

Artists’ proposals may be for sculpture installations, musical and theatrical performances, pop-up installations or workshops and group activities. You can find more information  here.
