Retailer Takes Training to the Classroom

Training in the retail industry typically involves shadowing a fellow employee to learn the sales floor and inventory.  Bentonville based Walmart is taking its training one step further, taking its associates from the sales floor and into the classroom.  A store manager and a Walmart Training Academy facilitator say the investment in associates has given them a new confidence in their work.
