Now in its 30th year, the Milken Educator Awardhas been hailed by Teacher magazine as the "Oscars of Teaching." This morning, Kara Davis, a fourth grade teacher at Mathias Elementary School, was surprised with the $25,000 award. She is one of up to 35 in the country who will win the award and the only one to win in Arkansas.
