Rogers, Bentonville and Cave Springs Entangled in Annexation of Benton County Land

The area Rogers has proposed to annex through a special election. Cave Springs also wants to annex the same property through a special election, but many property owners in the center of the proposed annexation have asked to be annexed into Bentonville.

Rogers and Cave Springs are both holding special elections to annex the same tract of land in unincorporated Benton County, which could potentially lead to a third special election. In the midst of that, a number of residents in the affected annexation area have filed a petition to be voluntarily annexed into Bentonville, which has led to legal challenge from Rogers.
