Of Note for Thurs. Jan. 21, 2016: Central Park in the Dark

Seattle Symphony's latest recording features the work of Charles Ives, including Central Park in the Dark. Written in 1906, this piece is a musical representation of the sights and sounds that one might have encountered in the famous park on a night before the world was overcome by the sounds of radios and engines. Step back in time with this unique piece on Thursday's program, and tune in to this week's Sunday Symphony to hear more of Ives's work.
