Bird Flu: Lull in Cases, Heightened Vigilance

Some industry experts say the current avian flu outbreak could stretch on for another 18 - 24 months. Arkansas hasn’t had a case since the disease was detected in a single turkey flock in Boone County back in March. But the epidemic - the biggest in US history - is nonetheless affecting poultry farmers, backyard flock owners, and consumers in our area.
