Chuck Adkins and VesLawbaugh were each awarded a Purple Heart. They are now members of The Military Order of the Purple Heart, an organization that helps municipalities to be designated as Purple Heart states, cities, and counties. Both Washington and Benton Counties began paying tribute to Purple Heart recipients this month.
