A Renaissance Statesman

Ray Thornton died yesterday.  His career included terms as a United States Congressman, Arkansas Attorney General, President of the University of Arkansas, President of Arkansas State University and as a justice on the Arkansas Supreme Court.  Doug Thompson, Enterprise and Political Editor at the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette, reminds us Ray Thornton had an important role in history.
