Opposition Continues Campaign as Markham Hill Development Moves Forward

The Friends of Markham Hill, who are opposed to a proposed development on Fayetteville's Markham Hill, continued their campaign at Tuesday's City Council meeting. The developer, Specialized Real Estate Group, is planning to construct homes, a hotel, an event space and some commercial buildings on the 144-acre property, which they purchased in 2016 after the previous owner of Markham Hill declared bankruptcy.
