Composer Florence Price

Douglas Shadle is an associate professor of musicology at Vanderbilt University and a leading authority on Arkansas native and composer Florence Price. Shadle says Price comes from a long line of American composers in the 1800s who were ignored by their local orchestras in favor of European composers like Brahms.
