The Challenge of Intimate Concerts

International soprano Laura Aikin has performed major roles in opera houses throughout the world. She presents an intimate song cycle concert with pianist Donald Sulzen for the John Harrison Opera Foundation Thursday, Apr. 3. As Aikin explains, such a concert -- without props, backdrops and elaborate costumes -- presents challenges that she tackles with her longtime accompanist Donald Sulzen.
