Of Note for Thursday, September 24, 2015: Documenting the Rediscovery of Vivaldi's Works

Miles Dayton Fish

The works of Antonio Vivaldi have become some of today’s most recognizable and celebrated pieces of music, but there was a time when this prolific composer was largely unknown. On Thursday’s program, we will hear from NWACC professor and Vivaldi scholar Miles Dayton Fish about Vivaldi’s once-lost compositions and how they were rediscovered. Tune in for this informative interview and highlights from Vivaldi’s now-famous “Four Seasons” as performed by violinist Anne Akiko Meyers.
