Although he didn't begin studies in the United States until 2001, Norwegian composer and pianist Ola Gjeilo is now in high demand for choral and other compositions and, as he tells Of Note's Katy Henriksen, he's always known that a composer is what he wanted to be. He visits the University of Arkansas this week for a residency with the music department.
