Federal Agencies: Industrial Hog Farm Near Buffalo River Poses No Environmental Impacts

C & H Hog Farms, located west of Mt. Judea in Newton County and situated along a tributary to the Buffalo National River, is not impacting the environment. That's according to the USDA Farm Service Agency and the Small Business Administration. The finding stems from a 2013 lawsuit filed by the Buffalo River Watershed Alliance against both agencies, which provided millions of dollars in loan guarantees to the factory farm.
