Arkansas Expands HIV Prevention Initiative Efforts

The Trump Administration's plan hopes to cut new HIV transmissions in the U.S. by 90% by 2030.

After the Trump Administration rolled out its HIV initiative "A Plan for America" last February, Arkansas was awarded nearly $200,000 to increase public engagement around the issue. Now, with more federal grant money on its way this spring, Arkansas Department of Health officials say they are laying the groundwork to improve access to prevention services and treatments, specifically in rural communities.
