This week, the Fayetteville Housing Authority, through its nonprofit arm called FHA Development, is expected to close on its purchase of an apartment complex near Morgan Manor, another property owned by the agency. The housing authority is buying the 18 units at 12th Street and Washington Avenue for $865,000. FHA Executive Director Angela Belford says preserving affordable housing is part of the agency's mission.
