Fayetteville City Council Backs Studying Single-Use Plastic Regulations

Since 2007, nearly 250 cities and counties across the U.S. have passed laws banning or taxing plastic bags. This month, the Fayetteville City Council voted to explore the feasibility of similarly regulating bags, polystyrene containers and plastic straws. We speak with City Council Member Teresa Turk, Ward 4, who sponsored the resolution of intent.
