Two permit requests, one to spread millions of gallons of agri-industry waste sludge annually on nine hayfields along War Eagle Creek, and another to construct an industrial turkey CAFO near Dry Fork Creek, both in Madison County, were suddenly withdrawn this month, due to coordinated opposition by environmental watchdog groups.
