Of Note for Tuesday, August 19: Tranquility of Harp & Flute

Nothing says tranquility quite like the pairing of harp and strings, as is the case in Alan Hovhaness's "The Garden of Adonis," a suite for the two instruments inspired by a canto from The Fairie Queen by Edmund Spenser. Catch it on Tuesday's Of Note with Katy Henriksen, which airs 11 to noon on  our main signal and at 6 p.m. on our all classical digital signal, KUAF-2.
