Cities Mull Creation of Entertainment Districts that Allow Drinking in Public

Fort Smith is one of the cities that’s considering establishing entertainment districts that would allow patrons to drink in public. This comes after the Arkansas General Assembly passed Act 812 earlier this year giving cities the go-ahead to create such designated areas as a means of promoting tourism and hospitality. Meanwhile, Mountain Home is already preparing to launch its entertainment district July 24.
