ArDOT Holds Public Meetings About Proposed Sales Tax Extension

The Arkansas Department of Transportation has started holding a series of meetings about the proposed extension of a half-cent sales tax that will be listed on the ballot in November as Issue 1. This week, one of the meetings will be held in Menaand the other in Fort Smith. Highway Department Spokesperson Randy Ort discusses how the funding would be spent and why funding keeps falling short.
