Local Advocates React to Biden's Immigration Reform Policies

President Joe Biden signs executive orders on his first day in office.

On Inauguration Day, the new administration called on officials to preserve the DACA program, ended the so-called "Muslim ban" on immigration, issued a 100-day moratorium on deportations for certain noncitizens and halted construction of the southern border wall. Northwest Arkansas advocates praised the proclamations, but urged lawmakers to follow through with legislation to create lasting immigration reform.
