Designer of World War One Monument Returns

World War I Centennial Commission

Joe Weishaar, an alumnus of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, won a design contest for the national World War One monument when he was 25 years old. Next week, he will return to his native Fayetteville and alma mater to deliver a lecture that is free and open to the public. We catch up with Weishaar about what he has learned since the monument project began.
