Trump to announce new trade deals before Aug. 1 tariff deadline

President Trump’s global trade policy is set to go before a federal appeals court Thursday, just one day before reciprocal tariffs on dozens of countries go into effect. The Trump administration is scrambling to announce new trade deals ahead of its self-imposed Aug. 1 tariff deadline.
