OLLI- Waltz of The Wildflowers: Spring Wildflower Hike at Ozark Natural Science Center
Come out to Ozark Natural Science Center (ONSC) for our Spring Wildflower Hike! The spring ephemerals will be emerging, so don’t miss a chance to go out on a wildflower tour led by our Program Manager, Liz Hill, and Teacher Naturalist staff. Along with providing magnificent photo opportunities, the Wildflower Hike will help you learn to identify some of our native Ozark flowers, as well as some fun facts about various flowers’ edibility and historical medicinal uses.
The hike is approximately 1-1.5 miles long, primarily along the beautiful Bear Hollow Creek, and includes some moderate elevation change over uneven, rocky terrain. Participants are asked to wear appropriate hiking clothing: long pants and closed-toed shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle and a snack.
Cost includes admission fee of $15 pp.
Hike time: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Add one hour for travel time (as listed). Transportation, meeting location and directions will be sent to participants in their class reminder.
Activity Level: 3
