Pencil in Hand; Investigating River Connections
Pencil in Hand; Investigating River Connections
Roaring River State Park will present "Pencil in Hand; Investigating River Connections," a nature journaling workshop on Saturday, September 9 from 9am-4pm. The full day course will guide beginners and avid nature journalists at their own pace while we explore the importance of water resources (like Roaring River) here in the Ozarks ecosystem. We will start with the basics of observation skills and explore a variety of ways to utilize the simple equipment needed for field sketching and journaling. The class will be in classroom and outside journaling in a variety of areas around the park. Space is limited, and a confirmation letter will be sent prior to the class. Instructors Anna Skalicky, Naturalist at Roaring River State Park and Jeff Cantrell, Conservation Educator will be sharing ideas and motivation for this life-long hobby. For more information, please call the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center at 417-847-3742.
