Christian Anton Gerard is a husband and father, a hot-rodder, a boater, a woodworker, and the author of Holdfast (C&R Press) and Wilmot Here, Collect for Stella (WordTech). He's received Bread Loaf Writers' Conference scholarships, the Iron Horse Literary Review’s Discovered Voices Award, and a 2023 Artists360 grant from the MidAmerican Arts Alliance in conjunction with the Walton Foundation. His work appears in places such as, The Rumpus, Post Road, The Adroit Journal, Diode, Ruminate, and Tupelo Quarterly. Gerard is an associate professor in the creative writing program at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith.

Dr. Christian Anton Gerard will read poems and stories from his newly finished third book of poems and a new project, funded by an Artists360 grant, about hot rods, auto racing, and the families/friendships that fuel it all.
