This is a family, wallet-friendly event held on the spacious acreage of Springfield Ranch in downtown Cane Hill. There is a hospitality tent where food can be purchased (benefiting the Friends of Prairie Grove Pound) or people are welcome to bring picnic lunches. Buy your kites here, you will not find a better selection of price. The 50 cent raffle (so called because each person may only purchase one fifty cent ticket) gives away a large nylon kite at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 (must be present to win). In addition there are numerous small prizes awarded during the day for tongue-in-cheek categories. After the 2:00 drawing there is contest for kids only to guess how many armadillo holes we had to fill in to make the flying area safe. Fun is guaranteed!
